We would love to have you worship with us this Sunday. Our Sunday worship services are the highlight of our week, and we invite you to join us. We know that visiting a new church for the first time can be an awkward experience so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. Below is some information that we hope will make your visit more enjoyable. View our Sunday worship schedule. What are your services like?
Our Sunday morning services are traditional in nature. We worship God by reading the Bible, singing hymns and listening to a sermon based on Scripture teachings. Our music is classical, featuring an organ or piano, and sometimes a choir.
On Sunday nights we end the Lord's Day in a less formal setting led by a worship band. This is a more upbeat service featuring contemporary Christian music, drama, video, and testimonies. If you would like to get a better idea of what the worship is like before you visit, check out the media area of our website where you can listen to previously recorded sermons and songs. What should I wear? While the dress for Sunday evening worship is generally more casual than the morning service, we invite you to come as you are to either of our services, wearing whatever clothes make you feel the most comfortable. How long will the services last?
Our services last from about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out in any way? Please don’t be nervous about your first visit with us. You are our guest, and we want you to feel comfortable. While you will be greeted and welcomed, you won’t be put on the spot, singled-out or embarrassed. During the service, you´ll notice an Attendance Pad being passed down your row, which is an easy way for us to get better acquainted. We do like to collect some basic information from people using this, but if you'd prefer not to, that's all right with us. Am I going to be expected to give money? Absolutely not! However, during each service there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship for our members and friends (those who consider LPC their church home), allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give.
