"The committees of Session shall have representation from the Deacons and from the congregation-at-large. The duties of each committee are subject to review and revision by Session time in order to meet the needs of the church." A. Establish, develop and maintain a mission program that is consistent with our definition of missions and the personality of our congregation. B. Be responsible for developing an annual missions budget. C. Develop and maintain a program of keeping our congregation currently informed of our entire missions involvement. 1. Set up a prominently located display map indicating all the areas of the world where we are involved. 2. Develop missionary conferences and speakers. 3. Develop missionary programs whereby some of our young people can become “missionaries” for the summer with an established mission. 4. Summarize monthly newsletters received; make a brochure available for our congregation to take and read on a monthly basis. 5. Set up a “missionary of the week” program. D. Be responsible for Special Offerings. Investigate the various offerings and make recommendations as to the ones we should support: Christmas Offering, One Great Hour of Sharing, Hunger Program, UNICEF, Thank Offering, plus any others decided upon. E. Involve our church in missions projects. F. Be responsible for any activity not specifically heretofore mentioned that would enhance or contribute to a more effective missions program.
