We believe that loving relationships and meaningful fellowship should permeate every aspect of church life. At LPC our Sunday morning and evening services are a time to gather together as one large group – but real growth, learning, friendships, and life-change happens best in a smaller group setting. Because of this, we strongly encourage you to participate in small groups to help you in your spiritual journey.
What are small groups? A small group at LPC consists of 8-10 adults that meet regularly for friendship, Bible study, prayer, and support. Most groups meet for about 1 to 2 hours on a monthly or weekly basis. The meetings may take place at the church, at each others homes, or even local facilities such as restaurants. For instance, the men's fellowship meets at Panera Bread in Southland Shopping Center the first Saturday of every month while the women's fellowship meets at Panera the fourth Saturday of every month. These meetings usually consist of breakfast, fellowship, and Bible study. Sometimes the small groups will discuss a certain topic or simply study a specific book in the Bible. In addition to fellowship events, Pastor Bob holds a small group Bible study in the library twice a week. Bible study lasts an hour, and both morning and evening times are available. And our youth director, Dave Lusk, always has some type of small group activity going on for the youth. So no matter what your interest, LPC has a small group suitable for you! Where can I find out more? Call our office at 412-466-7184 or contact one of our pastors. We'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Also, be sure to check out our calendar to see what new small group events are planned for this month!
