The LPC youth ministry program encompasses a number of different activities and events that are designed to help students and young adults grow in their faith.
"The House" Weekly Meetings (September through May) (Junior House: Thursdays @ 3:30 p.m.) (Senior House: Sundays @ 7:00 p.m.)
This is a safe place for students to hear the good news of Jesus Christ in a culturally relevant, socially comfortable, and emotionally reassuring way. Fun, Friends, God.
Special Events & Lock-Ins
Students love to "hang out." These special events provide the opportunity for healthy fellowship among students and leaders of the youth ministry who want to invest in their lives. Events could include mini-golf, bowling, movies, sled riding, sharing meals, etc.
Fall Retreat, Laurelville & Jumonville
Students have the opportunity to share fellowship with other students from different church communities and are challenged with the mission of Jesus Christ dying for their sins. Provides an opportunity to explore or renew one's faith in Jesus Christ.
Mission Trip & Service Projects
Students can serve others and learn how to glorify the Kingdom of God with acts of service.
Serving in the Church & Community
Students can find serving the church and the community can be an intricate part of one's Christian life. They can discover ways to serve God in various ways.
Summer Best 2 Weeks (August)
Two week day camp for kids 3rd through 8th grade; emphasizing fun and fullness of life Jesus Christ brings to us. Campers are encourage to grow closer to God and to exhibit a Christian lifestyle in all areas of life. Camp is run by church staff and college age "Senior Counselors". Activities include: swimming, basketball, track, volleyball, hockey, swimming, soccer, wrestling, crafts, nature, and Bible. 9th through 12th graders can serve on Workcrew or as "Junior Counselors".
Weekly Worship (Sundays @ 6:00 p.m.)
Worshiping God as a community of believers; with contemporary music and media.
Small Groups & Accountability Groups
A place for students to build authentic Christian relationships and support each other during their high school years with the direction of a qualified leader, and providing character building discussion.
Bible Study & Sunday School (September through May) (Sundays @ 9:30 a.m.)
Discovering spiritual truths, learning Biblical theology, and examining the character of those written about in scripture in small group atmosphere.
Spring Retreat, Discipleship Retreat
Providing an opportunity for believing students to sharpen their faith by exploring a variety of Biblical disciplines, spiritual habits, and character developing discussions and lessons.
